Southeastweb was created because we feel that many web services and online directories are charging too much money for shoddy and uninspired products with little or no customer service, disillusioning many small business owners as well as failing to keep the interest of site visitors.
We wanted to produce an inspiring and informative site which maximised the potential of online directories by combining high-quality design with high-quality text, whilst ensuring that the majority of companies featured on our directory have their own website, directly linked to southeastweb. See the Advertising section to discover how you can get your business listed, if you don't have an exisiting web site but are thinking of getting one you can contact our sister site www.dzines.co.uk to see what they can offer, 10% discount on all their published prices when mentioning Southeastweb!
Tony’s the business brains behind Southeastweb.co.uk, which is supported by the Prince’s Trust. He’s also the designer, and has built a name for himself as a successful and innovative graphic and web designer at Dzines Ltd (www.dzines.co.uk). He went to school in Canterbury and currently lives in Dover.
Claire’s the chief writer and copy editor. She has an English BA from Cambridge University, speaks fluent German, and works as a translator, writer, and arts reviewer (www.clairewingfield.co.uk). She has lived in Berlin, Paris, and Edinburgh, but her favourite town will always be Whitstable, where she grew up. She is currently working on a novel which plays out between Whitstable and Berlin.
Helen's head administrator of the site and also one of the writers. She has lived in Canterbury all her life and has a keen interest in history, food and drink and theatre - watch out for forthcoming articles covering these topics!
